What's the Cost of Wedding Photography?

By Michael J

As much as every bride would love to have a Wedding Photography Price List and wield with it in her bag of tricks, that's just not feasible or plausible given the state of wedding photography.

JUST A MINUTE, don't get ahead of yourself. I'm going to clue you in so you where you can acquire a "ballpark" pricelist with #keyword# in various ranges. The Document will help you with your comparison shopping.

But let's go over some subjects right now...

Photographers Set Fees on Expertise+ Talent + The Cost of Doing Business

For the most part, there is very little industry standard as to how much the job will be for an common event. It is predicated on factors such as geographical area, how much skill and value the photographer has established, how many features will be purchased with the package, and whether or not they are shooting digital.

Recently, most photographers are shooting digital instead of film. When working with a photographer, you are paying for their respective experience, style, reputation, overhead and materials. A seasoned pro who works full-time in this craft will likely cost you more than a "weekend warrior". However, the results will probably be better from the full-timer.

A full-time professional has the sophistication to grapple with these newbies, who surprisingly come out of the woodwork daily.

In our current environment, anyone with a digital camera thinks they can be a qualified photographer. There is a certain enticement about the job, albeit overrated. Sure, it's fun to get paid to attend someone's wedding and to partake in a fun day of festivities and happiness. But then again, taking the pictures is actually the easiest part of the task. Behind the scenes, it is not so attractive.

Running a professional photo house is strenuously grinding work and wedding photography prices often reflect that. There's a ton of busy work, processing of pictures, website issues, marketing, networking, and many activities - as any business owner will attest to.

All "Pros Are NOT Created Equally

Home-based photographers are able to maintain their wedding photography prices low because of less expenses. The amount of rent and hiring employees at a large studio must be sustained by charging a lot more to the bride and groom. While their services may be justifiable, it may not be so easily swallowed in your overall budget. Remember, try looking ata solo individual or someone who operates from home to keep wedding photography prices affordable and to avoid paying someone else's overhead.

TIP: Ask for Add-On Services AFTER the Wedding if Possible

Remember that at the same time you're preparing your spending plan, you'll probably want and need to draw down extra money for albums and portraits for both families. In any case, you're probably going to spend more than you basically agreed, but you'll be doing it because you like the photos so much, you WANT to buy the extras.

The point is not necessarily the money you put aside for the wedding photographer on photographs. Instead, it's the total gratification you get from the photos in the end.

Some photographers will let you purchase add on's - like reprints, wall hangings and albums - after the marriage ceremony is over. This may help to free up cash that you can use to purchase the other items in your budget. Ask the photographer if you can pay for a basic package and then make more decisions after the wedding. Or, ask for a price list for albums, reprints, and accessories.

The One Decision You Might Regret

No matter what you conclude (full-timer or part-timer), bear in mind that you should NOT gamble your once-in-a lifetime celebration to an wet behind ears photographer! Be assured that you will be sorry for the decision later. It's not uncommon to pay too much for you really like.

Wedding photography prices are on the whole the one impediment that prevents many wedding clients from selecting the photographer who can undoubtedly offer the highest value for the dollars spent. Generally, the significance between the photographer you love (who might be more pricey) and the one who you end up awarding because of not enough money is seemingly picayune.

How To Buy A Parrot Cage

By Dominic

Buying a cage for your Parrot is not something you do, just off the top of your head. Finding the right Parrot cage is a very important part of the happiness and health of your large bird. Choosing the right cage will have a big impact on how happy and healthy your Parrot will be. The Parrot cage you decide to buy will depend in part on the size and breed of your bird.

For instance, Parrot breeds that are larger will need a much larger cage bird cage then those Parrots that are smaller in size. Our recommendation, to our customers, is that you buy a Parrot cage that will at least be double the size of the bird's wingspan. You won't go wrong with buying a Parrot cage that is larger and bigger than what you think you need. Most bird lovers make the mistake of buying the Parrot cage that is too small because they think they will save themselves some money. In the long run they will spend more money. After realizing that the cage is too small and will end up buying them much larger cage.

Parrot owners actually recommend that you buy a bird cage as large as you can find. Some bird shops will recommend a cage size that is too small, because they know that you are price shopping. Don't fall into that bird trap. If you want your bird be happy and comfortable then buy something that is bigger than what you think you will need. Knowing that you bought a large enough bird cage will give you some peace of mind.

One critical thing to think about when purchasing a Parrot cage is to make sure that the bars, on the cage, are not spread out too far apart. If the bars, on the cage, are spread too far apart, the bird can get it's head stuck between the bars. Also, make sure that the bars, on the cage have no paint on them. Some large birds are capable of chipped the paint off and eating it. Usually stainless steal or wrought iron cages work best and are highly recommended.

What shape of bird cage should you buy?

Most Parrot lovers think that the shape of the cage is for aesthetic purposes, it is not. The shape of the Parrot cage will depend on the kind of Parrot that you have. For example, if you have a small Parrot, they usually like to fly from side to side within the cage. So the length of the cage is more important than the height and needs to be a strong consideration. Larger Parrots tend to like to climb around, so having a taller bird cage would work better for them.

Finally, make sure you buy a cage that is easy to clean and has a slide out tray underneath. This will allow you to change the cage at least once or twice a week. A clean cage will leave you with a happy bird and a happy Parrot owner.

How to Troubleshoot iPods

By Jennifer Kilpatrick

The Ipod generation has not only opened doors for limitless entertainment and business opportunities (and a saving grace for Apple) but has also given rise to the demand and expectation in durability of its product releases. The gadget though pretty and still the top leader among music player brands, couldnt be spared by faults from time to time (just like with everything).

But good news is that like most Apple products, the iPod is well designed both internally and externally and provided you have first-hand knowledge in technology and the likes, you can diagnose the fault and home repair will be as easy as counting 1-2-3.

You will know there is a problem with your iPod when: it doesn't power up, not recognized by iTunes, it won't play music, or it displays the dreaded sad face logo on its screen. Before panic strikes you and thinking maybe the screwdrivers ought to do the job, you should first try the 5 R's which are detailed at length on Apple's support site and briefly they are:

First and always Reset the IPod when symptoms starts showing off. Flick hold on and off then hold down the menu and select buttons (centre button and top of wheel). Next is Retry by plugging your IPod into a different USB or fire wire socket on your computer or laptop. When everything is settled on it is now time to Restart your computer. After that Reinstall by getting the latest version of iTunes and reinstall your iPod from this new version then Restore your iPod from iTunes.

If the above Diagnostics still proves your IPod has serious problems, there is another method you can use and that is by using the reset method and then straight away pressing the play/pause button. Doing this will force the ipod to act like a standard external hard drive and it will become visible in Windows. Next select the ipod in the Windows view, right click and select format (before doing this remember that this will erase everything on your iPod; music, audiobooks, videos, pictures, etc). Open iTunes. If it was just a problem of corrupted software on the iPod, iTunes will go about reinstalling and then you can catch your breath now.

Pet Sitting - A Modern Day Necessity

By Exo Skelie

Modern America is now epitomized by a growing number of pet owners who see pets as family and friends rather than merely animals that have to be fed. Previously, pet ownership was delegated to families especially since at least one member, mostly the mothers, were at home to extend care to their pets. Today, however, even working singles and couples are taking on the responsibility of caring for pets.

Based on the 2005-2006 National Pet Owner Survey of the America Pet Products Association, pet ownership is now 63% of the country's total households. Most of these households prefer dogs, birds and cats for pets. This is mainly due to their loving personalities as well as their faithfulness to their owners, traits that pet owners are endeared to. In return for such love, owners also lavish their pets with attention and affection.

The quality of love and care that owners give to their pets are often threatened when the owners have to temporarily hand over their pets to other people. This often arises when owners have to travel and be away from home for a long period of time. The separation of owners and their pets are often emotionally taxing and worrisome.

Historically, owners who often faced such quandary usually had two options: appealing to neighbors to at least regularly feed their pets or letting them board in a kennel or a family member's place. For the most part, both options have caused stress and shock to owners (for the uncertain quality of care that their pets will get) and their pets (who have to deal with new people, playmates and surroundings).

The good news for pet owners is that there is a better option to those previously mentioned. Pet sitting is a relatively new service in America which provides personalized care to pets while their owners are away. Pet sitting addresses two of the immediate problems often encountered by pet owners: unfamiliar care-givers and environment.

With pet sitting, pets get to stay in the comfort of their home and get their regular dose of tender loving care which is provided by regular pet sitter. Availing of a pet sitting service ensures a pet owner that only one pet sitter will be around to give care to a pet. This assures familiarity and regularity, one which is critical for a pet especially in the absence of its recognizable owner. A pet sitter also ensures that the routine followed by owners and pets are continued while carrying out other tasks specified by the pet owner. Regular routine includes feeding, exercise, play, medication and grooming.

Finally, pet sitting guarantees that only professional pet sitters provide this service. Hence, they are able to ascertain a pet's needs which owners sometimes fail to notice (e.g. vet schedules, new and effective shots). Beyond these, sitters also make sure that an owner's house is safe.

Stressed by leaving your adorable pet to strangers? Switch to pet sitting. You might get more than what this article has just described.

5 Gallon Aquarium - Decorate Your home

By The Aquarium Lady

A 5 gallon aquarium can get you started in what can be a very great hobby. Online there are various sites that now offer you the chance to purchase a 5 gallon aquarium starter kit in which you will find there is a tank either made form acrylic or glass, some chemicals to dechlorinate the water, fish food and the tank hood with a light fitting.

A 5 gallon or mini aquarium can make a wonderful addition to not just a home but an office as well. With a 5 gallon aquarium starter kit you will discover it doesn't take that long to set one up.

How Many Fish Can Be Kept In A 5 Gallon Aquarium?

5 gallon aquariums are ideal for keeping a wide variety of freshwater fish in them including those that are classed as being tropical. However, whatever variety of fish you keep in your aquarium it is important that you keep the ratio of 1 inch of fish to every one gallon of water in the tank. Therefore for this size of aquarium you can opt to have 5 x 1 inch fish or 1 x 5 inch fish in the tank (or any other combination) just so long as the total length of all fish in the tank does not go above 5 inches.

It is crucial that you learn as much as you possibly can about the various different species of fish you are thinking about putting into your 5 gallon aquarium. Learn about their eating habits, what environment they enjoy and just how long they will be when they reach adult hood. Doing this you will avoid those fish which will grow to a length of 6 inches or more.

Ways To Make Your 5 Gallon Aquarium Look Great

A 5 gallon aquarium to buy is much less than you would have to pay for larger sized aquariums and also there maintenance costs are far less as well. However, the cost of maintaining a 5 gallon aquarium that contains tropical species of freshwater fish is going to be more than if you were to go for some of the more common species of freshwater fish you can buy.

There are certain things that one can do to make a 5 gallon aquarium look not only more interesting to you but also to the fish that are being kept in it and below we look at some of the things you can do.

1. In the base of your 5 gallon aquarium rather than going for more traditional brown gravel why not go for something a little more colorful instead.

2. Either plastic or real plants do make a wonderful addition to a 5 gallon aquarium, but to offer your fish something a little more unusual consider installing one of the other accessories such as a mini castle or rocks. Such items are readily available at your local aquarium supply store or can be brought online.

3. Although there is a light fitted into your 5 gallon aquariums hood why not think about purchasing a neon fish light as well. This not only project more light into a room but also they really help to bring out the wonderful coloring on the fish that are kept in it.

Above we have offered a few tips on what one should do in order to decorate a 5 gallon aquarium to make it look really good. But the simplest way for you to add color to such an aquarium is to actually place the right kinds of fish in it. Most people tend to go for Tetras, Bettas or Goldfish, but it is worthwhile considering getting some Guppies or Paradise Catfish instead for yours.

Advice of Photographing Wildlife

By SFXsource

Wildlife photography is a very exciting branch of photography, but it requires patience and dedication. It is very easy to become frustrated, but your efforts will be rewarded. Photographers may spend an entire day trying to get one particular shot! These tips are intended to either get you started photographing wildlife, or to inspire you to stick with it. There is a certain awe and beauty about capturing the natural world, particularly animals.

1. This tip cannot be stressed enough- be patient. Many people will get frustrated, but by being patient, unexpected things will happen.

2. Keep your distance. A lot of times if you get too close, animals will not stick around. Whether you are in national parks, the wilderness, jungles, etc., it is crucial that you give animals space, and allow them to get close to you if they so choose (animals are highly curious).

3. Photograph wildlife in their environment. While it is fun to photograph exotic animals at the zoo, it is more authentic to incorporate where they actually live into the background.

4. Play with using different shutter speeds. On one hand, if you photograph a bird flying with a fast shutter speed, you will "freeze" it in the action of flying. But with a slow shutter speed, you create a blurred effect.

5. If you are patient (this is where tip #1 comes into play), the wildlife may even compose a brilliant photo. Many times animals will create unique photo opportunities if you just observe them through the lens.

6. It will be in your best interest to purchase a zoom lens. Many times it will be hard to get close to wildlife, and a zoom lens gets you closer without putting you in danger and without disturbing the animal.

Don't forget to search for wildlife images by other photographers to give you some inspiration. The work of wildlife photographers can also be found online or in a number of photography magazines.

What you Should Look For in Decorative Birdhouses

By Robert Randolph

The nesting season is an important time for birds. Its springtime and birds must now turn to nesting. They turn their full attention and energy to nesting during springtime. It is a stressful experience for a bird to move to a new location. They need to adjust to new sights, sounds and foods. While birds are amazingly resilient, there are a number of things you can do to help minimize the stresses of a new home.

It is important that the birdhouse be set up even before you purchase your bird. No matter how simple, elaborate or decorative, the most important features are safety, the location of the birdhouse and the dimensions and shape of the birdhouse and entrance. A good birdhouse must have the following features:

Ventilation holes in the top and drainage holes in the bottom Absence of a perch by the entrance - perches encourage predators such as cats Easy to clean - birdhouses should be thoroughly cleaned once a year to remove last year's nest materials and to prevent nest parasites.

One of the great ways to bring your yard to life with flashes of color, nature's music and amusement is to provide your birds with their own private nesting area. You can add a birdhouse to your yard or garden where birds can nest safely without fearing natural predators. A birdhouse also provides shelter and warmth during heavy winds and at times of ferocious storms.

If we can have fancy houses, then why not birds? So, be creative, while choosing a birdhouse. Birdhouses range in style from gazebo and Victorian styles to barns and space shuttles. The design is your choice. You might like to build or purchase a birdhouse that will reflect your personal character. Birds aren't really interested in architectural design, but want a birdhouse that will provide safety, security and easy access.

Bird population is diminishing in today's world due to the use of chemicals that are polluting their natural habitat and food supply. Birdhouses protect birds and coupled with well-stocked feeders and a variety of seeds and insects from your garden, they will find a safe haven in your backyard. In return, they bring your garden to life with flashes of color, wonderful songs and comical antics.

A birdhouse should be well built, durable, waterproof, cool in summer, warm in winter and easily accessible to birds. Be sure you allow for cleaning when assembling your birdhouse. If you're planning to purchase one, look for cracks in the wood, knots and other defects that will allow water to get inside. If you're building the house, use your imagination to create a unique birdhouse that will add a touch of charm to your yard or garden. Nowadays, many varieties of birdhouses are available in the market ranging from plain and simple to the elaborate and decorative.

At Indipets, we look forward to sharing our yard with wildlife throughout the seasons particularly birds, who bring color, song, and life to our homes. Whether it's a family of Bluebirds, a group of Gold Finches or a scarlet red Cardinal nibbling on the sunflower seeds we've put out especially for him, birds delight and fascinate us all year long. Just put up a few houses, fill your feeders and soon you'll have a yard full of feathered friends.
